QR code table setup: best practices for frictionless start
Practical tips to avoid the most common 'we can't scan the code' moments at the start of a brainstorm session.
The first five minutes set the tone. If half the tables can't scan their QR code, you lose energy and trust before the conversation even starts. These tips keep that from happening.
Print big and laminate
Print QR codes at A5 size minimum, with the table name in large letters above. Lamination prevents coffee stains from killing a code halfway through round two.
Test on both iOS and Android
Camera defaults differ. Confirm a fresh iPhone and a fresh Android both open the join page without extra taps. EchoSphere is fully web-based, so there's no app install - but the browser still has to be reachable.
Have a backup join link
Always print a short text URL under the QR code so anyone whose camera fails can type it in. A six-character session code printed at the bottom of each table card has saved many a session.
