Plan your first multi-table brainstorm
A step-by-step plan to design, set up and run a multi-table brainstorm session that produces real insights - not just sticky notes.
Running a great brainstorm with twenty tables looks effortless when you do it right - and chaotic when you don't. This guide walks you through the planning phase that actually decides whether your session delivers.
Define your central question
Every successful brainstorm starts with a single, sharply phrased question. Avoid vague themes like 'innovation' - use a real decision question such as 'What should we stop doing in 2026?'. EchoSphere works best when each round explores a focused angle of one bigger question.
Decide on rounds and tables
A workable rule of thumb: 6–8 participants per table, 3 rounds of 15–20 minutes. Twelve tables × three rounds = 36 credits. Knowing this upfront helps you budget and helps EchoSphere prepare the right number of QR codes.
Prepare the room
Test the Wi-Fi at every table position, not just at the speaker stand. Place phones at the centre of each table, ideally on a small stand. Bring spare chargers - three rounds drain a phone surprisingly fast when it's recording continuously.
Brief the moderators at each table
Even with AI listening, a human table host keeps energy up and ensures every voice contributes. Give each table host a one-page brief: the question, the time, what 'a good answer' looks like, and how to start the recording.
